I actually do use them.  Life is generally easier when the same
command behaves the same way between programs, and I'm a Safari user
so Cmd-brace is what my hands automatically do to switch tabs.  Of
course, I mostly use Cmd-numbers to get around, and I'm sure I'm not
the first one to get bitten by Safari's Cmd-number behavior.

Cmd-bracket isn't bad.  Just make sure that I can set the commands to
be something that keeps my index fingers reasonably close to G and J.
I think that's what everyone wants.
