I've never had that with framework changes, but I have had it with  
Info.plists. Double-clicking on the file reference in the project  
window won't work, double-clicking on the file in Finder won't work,  
and editing it in your favorite editor in a terminal window won't  
work, all because Xcode won't notice the changes that way. You need  
to edit it from Xcode, either in the Properties tab of the Inspector  
or using the “Edit Info.plist file” button in the same place.

Or, just use xcodebuild, like I do. ;)
