I think I'm more noise than signal on this one. It seems (at least as
far as I can tell, addled brain and all) that this observation was
made on an older branch and not more recent work. I'll stick my head
back in the sand now.
Another low-hanging fruit IMHO from the 1.2 milestone would be:

It's assigned to me but could be done by anyone, really. It's a
matter of setting up a global palette (likely under the Tokens
submenu), some token fields, and then registering drag sources &
destinations appropriately. I'd be happy to help facilitate this
project if someone would like to work on it.
