I love the concept; not so much the text renderer. I opened up  
Lineform (an OS X graphics app that uses Quartz for its rendering),  
and clobbered the text in Steven Danna's image with a new pair of  
text objects. Result:

I like that a lot better. I think it's the same font (I used  
Bitstream Vera Sans); it's just rendered better.
