"routers" is a very general term.  We should probably get in a habit  
on this list of specifying which router (by manufacturer + model...  
firmwar version number is probably overkill).  iChat supports NAT- 
PMP, for example, so will have better success (all else being equal)  
behind an Airport router than behind a Linksys one.  I don't know if  
it supports UPnP or not offhand.
