In some form, yeah... group chats in MSN are really weird, though,
compared to all our other services. They aren't chat rooms... they
are, serverside, the way that iChat presents group chats on AIM.
That is, you have a conversation with Bob. You invite Joe to join
you. Joe, Bob, and you are now talking. Bob could leave, at which
point you and Joe are talking. A 'group chat' is just an IM with
multiple recipients.
The oddity within Adium is a direct reflection of Gaim's
implementation being equally awkward. At one point you couldn't
have more than one MSN conference going because it was named "MSN
Chat" within libgaim no matter what -- I can't recall if that's still
the case.
