I realize this. I was asking about Trac being put back on Apache until  
we can fix the lighttpd issue.

No -- I believe the script Mac-arena and I began working on wouldn't  
work anyway -- the problem, as you explained it, is that zillions of  
fcgi trac processes get spawned, and the thing just slows to a crawl  
-- detecting if it's running via ps wouldn't catch that.

I may be wrong. Peter is the UNIX guru, he'll have more ideas. Also,  
Synapse sounded like he's had some experience running trac under fcgi.
