An excellent point — I'd forgotten about the built-in license
display. (I agree that it's obnoxious, though).
Currently, our disk image contains four things:
⁃ Adium.app/
⁃ Changes.txt
⁃ Licenses.txt
⁃ Applications at ->/Applications
The problem with internet-enabling the current image is that Safari
unpacks it to a folder. That's ugly, and no better than using a tbz
or zip.
So what we'd need to do is:
1. Burn the changelog. Does anybody really care? If so, they can get
it from the website.
2. Move the license file to an on-mount display, or put it in the
Adium menu. I prefer the former, simply because people should be able
to easily view the license before using the app under its terms.
3. Remove the symbolic link, under the presumption that anybody using
a third-party browser knows what to do with an application on a disk
image.
