I think this is very doable.

One of the biggest 'improved areas' that still needs love is Direct  
IM; Colin, how are you doing on fixing the particular DIM bug you  
were working on?

I think the roadmap says it well.  A couple of big bugs, a couple of  
small ones that'd be nice to clear up, and then the administrative  
stuff of organizing a big release.

Great.  When we're really really really ready, I'm going to give the  
localizers one last chance to make changes... but they've been good  
keeping up, they've been localizing new 1.0 stuff for over a year  
(I've gotten them to keep 1.0 localized incidentally by including new  
strings with 0.8x ones), and we're not going to block on localization  
changes in any case :)
