(cc'd to adium-devl as a more-info-than-you-wanted update on server
status)

James, Chris,

Following the instructions on getting subversion working with
lighttpd (http://trac.lighttpd.net/trac/wiki/ApacheSubversionRecipe),
I set up apache2 and dependencies, a vritual host on port 8080, and
so on.

Clean compiles of apache2 (which did not appear to be installed or
configured) and subversion were installed.

Installation details:
libtool-1.5.22
autoconf-2.60
apr-1.2.7
apr-util-1.2.7
     ./configure --with-apr=/usr/local/apr

apache 2.2.3
     ./configure --enable-dav --enable-so --enable-ssl --enable-defalte

subversion 1.4.2 (r22196) as per http://svn.haxx.se/dev/
archive-2006-11/0050.shtml
     ./configure --with-apr=/usr/local/apr --with-apr-util=/usr/local/
apr
subversion reports as 1.5.0dev but is the revision lists on the above
page.

The apache crashes were caused by an incorrect version of apr; apache
2.x requires apr-1.x, whereas apr-0.9.x was installed.

Subversion is now operational at svn.adiumx.com:8080. lighttp does
not appear to be working; it is running and I have set up as
specified in the page linked above (http://trac.lighttpd.net/trac/
wiki/ApacheSubversionRecipe). The $host for the proxy-redirect from
incoming port 80 to apache2 port 8080 is specified in
/www/service/config/vhosts/adium

and I believe this is the file which needs tweaking in some way for
lighttp to be working and for subversion to therefore be fully
operational again.
