Yet, the box with trac and svn goes down often, and the performance is
non-optimal. It would be one thing if everything was peachy keen on
23i, but it's not. I applaud James's efforts, and I think he's a great
guy. I just think we may be getting a little bit out of his league, is
all.
Also, NR is a professional hosting company, with multiple employees
and, I'm assuming, some sort of datacenter space. My recollection of
23i is that it's a bit more closer towards a hobby of James's and not
an actual business that he runs full time. I would think that in the
event of downtime, a full-time company like NR could provide better
support than James could in his spare time.
I'm really not trying to bash or insult James, or say he sucks and is
a terrible admin and should be fired out of a cannon into the sun. On
the contrary, he's done a heroic job. I just feel that we're trying to
expand, and at NR we will have room to grow, while with 23i I think
we're bursting our britches a bit.
