Expect some commits on this over the weekend. Taxes due tomorrow  
(Aaaah!), but I have nothing planned for the rest of tonight and  
tomorrow night. As far as I know, the following tasks remain on #38:

- Rewrite/add portions of AILoggingPlugin as needed (input and  
output), and wrap them in a #define for XML logging.
- Add support for the Spotlight importer for the XML file format.

Also, Evan, did you ever get around to writing that code to run  
mdupdate when we create a new file? Or was that abandoned for some  
reason.
